A step-by-step WordPress guide
Download a customized step-by-step guide (complete with screenshots) to assist Diocese of Maine web administrators in managing and updating their sites. This version is about 80% complete. If you find you have a question and run into a problem, the guide doesn’t address, please be in touch with Heidi so she can include a solution in a new version of the guide.
Good links to include on your site
It’s easy to include great links on your website. We’re developing a list of links that you can copy and paste. You can choose from links to many diocesan and Episcopal church sources, prayer sites, bible translations, thoughtful blogs and learning sites. There are traditional Episcopal resources like Forward Day by Day and the Book of Common Prayer and intriguing new resources like Bible Gateway, Pray-as-You-Go, ChurchNext, Episcopal Café, and many more. You can provide links directly to these resources, or a link to our webpage where they will all be listed. For more information and a list, contact Jane Hartwell at 207.772.1953 x129 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Ideas for improving your website with lots of examples
Jane Hartwell has also put together this list of links to parish websites that do a good job at various things and suggestions for welcoming language. Lots of other good ideas too. This too is a work in progress and will be updated as new ideas and resources are found.
